GAIL KEARNEY MEMORIAL BUSSELTON HOSPICE GOLF DAY
Golf Day Fundraising Legacy
The Gail Kearney Memorial Busselton Hospice Golf Day fundraising event was instigated by Mike Kearney in 2003, in honour of his late wife Gail.
Mike enlists the help from friends Neil Honey (The Agency) and Glenn Paterson (Cape to Cape Insurance Services), with Neil’s wife Jan completing the team. Over their 21-year history, the team has elicited the support of many sponsors, local businesses, community organisations and individual donators.
A popular event amongst many local golfers and supporters, as well as players from the metropolitan and surrounding areas. It’s definitely an annual event that is marked in many social calendars.
The longest standing and biggest fundraiser in our Hospice Events calendar, the Gail Kearney Memorial Busselton Hospice Golf Day has raised well over $650,000. A mammoth effort by a dedicated group of compassionate community members, who are assisting us to ensure our operations, programs and services continue to be available for those community members in need, as well as supporting their care networks and families.
