Go Blue for June

Each year throughout the month of June, we strive to raise $100,000 towards the cost of providing our volunteer support services in the Busselton Health Campus Hospice Unit, as well as at the Geographe Bay Centre’s through our Bereavement Support, Complementary Therapy, Home Visiting and Carer Education programs. We also raise awareness that, as a community, we can support those who may be struggling with end-of-life issues or with grief and loss.

This year’s campaign has ended. Over $60,000 were raised – a big thank you to all supporters, we are so proud of our community!

In these times of great uncertainty and change – Busselton Hospice Care Inc is here – supporting the community through dying, grief, death, loss and bereavement.

Busselton Hospice Care Inc has been providing end of life and bereavement support services to our local community for over 20 years and relies 100% on community donations and fundraising to sustain our operations. In return, our programs are provided free of charge, with no limits on service use.

Our Current Fundraising Campaign ‘Buy a Cuppa for the Hospice’ asks people to donate $5 or multiples of $5 – the price of a cup of tea or coffee. If everyone in our community could donate this sum, we’d have enough funding for our services for a whole year! Visit https://buy-a-cuppa-for-the-hospice.raisely.com/ to donate through our secure fundraising website.

All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible and your donation can be a one-off, a regular donation, a gift in your will, or workplace giving.

You can also choose to dedicate your donation in the name of a loved one by releasing a Virtual Remembrance Balloon. Details are on our Donate page.

This is how your donation will help:

$25

will ensure someone in their end of life journey, or their carer can receive a complementary therapy session.

$50

will ensure an online carer education workshop can be run, to educate loved ones on how they can best care for their family member at home.

$100

will train one new volunteer to support individuals and their loved ones through dying, death and bereavement.

$250

will support one person through their end of life journey, with all of our services.
